The institution’s research facilities are frequently updated and there is a well- defined policy for promotion of research which is uploaded on the institutional website and implemented:

Institute of Engineering & Management (IEM) accords high priority for the promotion of quality research. The institutional research facilities are frequently modernised and a well-defined research policy for promoting research is implemented.

• Research incentives: IEM provides facilities to their faculty members and creates an environment to promote and nurture research skills by providing incentives for peer-reviewed publications, writing books, and filing patents.

• Research facilities and infrastructure: Numerous research laboratories and centres established in the recent past like Augmented and Virtual Reality Lab, Advanced Material Research Lab, Antenna Design Lab, IoT Lab, Information Security and Application Development Lab enable focussed research in cutting edge Technology.

• Seed money grants: College authority provides seed grants to faculty members based on the merit of submitted research proposals. A thorough review is performed for all research proposals seeking funding by consulting the research committee composed of the Director, Head of the department, subject expert(s) and external experts. The committee approves the research proposal and declares a list of selected candidates, monitors the impact of research and ensures non-violation of research & professional ethics.

• Research budget allocation: IEM has a significant amount of its budget (8%) on research & innovation such as Promotion of research, Resource mobilization for Research, Innovation ecosystem, Research publications and awards, Consultancy and Collaboration.
