QlM

Student-centric methods such as experiential learning, participative learning and problem-solving methodologies are used for enhancing learning experiences:

Right from the commencement of the session mentor-mentee list is prepared as per the notice issued by the institutional head. All faculty members monitor academic performance and counsel the students regarding their performance, apart from regular teaching through regular mentoring sessions.

Experiential & Participative learning:

●       Visits to different industries are arranged for the students so that they can observe the process taking place in industries (e.g., VECC, NTH, ERTL etc.) which in turn minimize the gap between academia and industry.

●       Students are encouraged to take up industry related projects as their final year project assigned from 2nd year.

●       To give better exposure to industries the college has signed MOUs with different organizations (industry, foreign universities, research institute, students’ chapters, different NGOs’).

●       In regular intervals near about 40 model exhibitions and competitions, different techno-management fests (INNOVACION, SYTRON, SRJAN, SMART Makers’ Fair etc.) are organized to inculcate the culture of experiential and participative learning.

Problem solving methodologies:

●       Project-based learning is mostly used for self-learning to improve the learning ability of students and improve knowledge received during the lecture. So, mini projects (for all the labs in the curriculum per semester) are mandatory in addition to their regular lab assignments.

●       To enhance practical problem-solving ability, special training programs are organized every week as Skill Development for Professional (SDP), Essential Studies for Professional (ESP), General studies, GATE classes are included in the routine.

●       Almost 10 different Olympiads are organized annually to promote problem solving skill-sets of students.

QlM

Preparation and adherence to Academic Calendar and Teaching Plans by the institution:

The process of academic calendar is initiated with a preliminary meeting with the Director of the Institute. Timelines of curricular sessions and examinations are drafted based on the standard calendar. First draft of the academic calendar is circulated to all HODs for feedback. The academic calendar is finally prepared in accordance with the strict policies of the institute and the feedback received from the circulation of the first draft.

Teaching plans are created by the departments, based on the academic calendar. Teaching plans or lesson plans for each course is course coordinator in cooperation with concerned faculty members teaching the same course. These plans are then discussed and approved by the HOD. These are incorporated as part of the course material for the students to be aware of the flow of study for any particular course.
