2.2.1. The institution assesses the learning levels of the students and organizes special Programs for advanced learners and slow learners

  • The institute identifies the learning level of the students by a standard/benchmark which is set as 50% marks in mid semester examinations.
  • Bridge courses are conducted for slow learners whenever required. 
  • Continuous monitoring is done by the department to see that the students are not facing any kind of difficulty in understanding.
  • In association with industries, different departments of the institute conduct  workshops, seminars etc. on latest technologies.
  • Institute provides video lectures of eminent professors through different platforms like Coursera (free courses for 1000 students),
  • NPTEL course fees are reimbursed, Iem-learning and encourages students to listen to these lectures.
  • SDP classes, special GATE coaching classes for higher studies for advanced learners and special bridge courses for slow learners.
  • The advanced learners are also encouraged to participate in various conferences and submit research papers.
  • The teachers upload notes and study materials on Google class rooms for students.
  • More than 12000 IEM Learning courses for more than 3250 students
  • 9 Bridge Courses for 600 students
  • More than free courses 4000 Coursera for 1000 students
  • 80 GATE and SDP Classes  in a semester for more than 2575 students
  • More than 500 NPTEL for almost 2500 students
  • 47 Induction Programs organized for more than 700  first year students
  •  Institute conducts  more than 60 (in a semester)  lecture series by eminent professors from different universities, alumni, and industry through IEM-CONNECT to encourage the advanced learners to listen to these lectures.
  • Mini projects are assigned to the students by the faculty members related to curriculum subjects.
  • More than 60 Group discussions are conducted in a semester.
  • More than 1200 technical quiz programs are conducted after classes through IEMCRP.
  • To bridge the gap between academia and industry, the institute has 7 MoUs with different industries instructions on specific topics are also delivered.
  • Students are encouraged to give presentations on the subject within the syllabus and also out of syllabus. This helps to build a crystal-clear idea about the subject matter.
  • Conducting continuous assessment of students by mid-semester examination and online exams for continuous evaluation of the students.
  • Regular online exams (1200) are taken to keep the students on their toes and exam ready.
  • The teachers provide helpful study materials to the students.
  • 500 (in a semester)Remedial, Tutorial and Crash courses for the slow learners are conducted.
  • More than 80 special sessions on soft skill and stress management by Alumni, Industry experts and counselors are conducted through IEM-CONNECT in a semester for all students.
  • 2 BOS meetings are organized to review the latest curriculum before commencement of the new semester and update it if required.
